Matre Specialty Coffee Story

Matre Coffee’s story began four generations ago, when my great-grandfather labored in the coffee fields in Southern Brazil. As a child, I remember playing by the coffee plants as my mother would call us in to drink the same coffee she had planted, roasted and brewed. Coffee has not only been a beverage for me, but a warm, reminder of genuine time spent with family. I wanted to share my mother’s great coffee with the world, which began our journey with Matre Specialty Coffee.

Coming from the Latin word mother, Matre honors not just my mother, but all women and coffee lovers alike. Our goal is to change the way coffee is viewed in a sense of community, and encourage others to pursue their dreams while drinking exceptional coffee.
